Bridget Wagner, PhD

Broad Institute
Institute Scientist
Cambridge, MA
Bridget Wagner is an Institute Scientist in the Chemical Biology & Therapeutics Science (CBTS) Program at the Broad Institute. Her group focuses on the discovery of small molecules that beneficially impact pancreatic beta-cell biology (proliferation, survival, insulin secretion). She received her A.B. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University, and is the recipient of an NIH Type 1 Diabetes Pathfinder award and an NIH Transformative Research Award.

Bridget is also really interested in developing creative approaches to understanding small-molecule mechanism of action (MoA). This type of activity is an important component of realizing the power of phenotypic screening in identifying compounds with novel MoA for diverse cellular phenotypes.
